Review: Etude House Doll Doll Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara

Hey guys!
Today I'm reviewing my new favorite mascara! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm obsessed with it. This review is a little picture heavy so bare with me please. >..<

I bought mine from Tester Korea for 13,000 Won (~$11.55 USD)

The concept behind this mascara is that the twisting tube dispenses a different amount of mascara, depending on the look you're going for. Twist #1 produces a natural or daily look. Twist #2 gives you a slightly more dolled up look with a little more volume. Twist #3 is more of a night look, or for girls who like to wear thicker mascara. I love this concept because I feel like I can get 3 different looks without having 3 mascaras and 3 different wands.

According to other bloggers, this isn't waterproof--but I have splashed my face with water and it didn't budge at all...even when I tried soaking my eye area in plain water. It comes off easily with an oil cleanser and water, but it didn't budge with just water...so I'm not sure what they're talking about, lol. I would say it's 100% smudgeproof, and it doesn't flake at all which is a godsend because those little fibers that other mascaras flake irritate my eyes!

This mascara just came out in brown, so now you can choose between black and brown. The brown one comes in a blue and black tube.

On to some pictures!

 First click (least amount)

Second click (mid)

Third click (full volume)

Left: Bare Eyelashes Right: First Click, One Coat

Left: Bare Eyelashes Right: Third Click, One Coat

Side by Side: Do you see the difference between the first and third click?

Pros:
  •  3 in 1 mascara
  • Does not clump!
  • Separates well
  • Soft mascara brush doesn't irritate
  • No-flake formula
  • Splashproof formula
  • Non-irritating
Cons:
  • Requires a little waterproof cleanser to get off all the way
  • Does not lengthen as much as other EH mascaras
Review:
I looove this mascara! I do not normally purchase waterproof mascaras, but because it did not say anything about waterproof, I bought it (plus the 3-click gimmick seemed cool lol). This formula goes on very smooth. It has the right amount of wet and dry to it--it's not so dry that it clumps, and it's not so wet that it makes your lashes stick together. I love that despite the bristle brush (as opposed to plastic) it still manages to separate my lashes. It does a good job of curling as well, but I would say it's not the best for lengthening. I don't need length really so it's not a big deal to me, but if that influences your decision I would try the new Etude House Shockara instead. This formula is awesome because it doesn't flake at all throughout the day, and it hasn't caused my eyes any irritation. It stays on even when splashed with water, and I have to remove this with my oil foam cleanser. The three click thing is really cool because I don't feel like I need to carry three different mascaras around as long as I have this! There's not much else to say, but if there's something I didn't cover please just ask in the comments. :)

    1. I'm only wearing blush in the last pic :) it's the Etude House watercolor blusher I just reviewed recently. The glowiness is from Holika Holika Miracle Finish base :) I will do a review on it next! :D

  7. Wow! I've never seen anything like that. I'm in desperate need of a good mascara because my lashes don't have a lot of volume. Thanks for the review! ^_^

  9. That looks very promising.
I was just talking to a friend from Singapore and we are swapping products. The new German essence line for this mascara and some too cool for school products that we don't have in Germany. I can't wait to try this one!
