Review: Etude House Dear Darling Tints (Real Red, Orange Red, Vampire Red)

Hey guys!
I've had Real Red and Orange Red for a few months now and when I heard they released Vampire Red I had to get it. I was looking for a "Volume Up"-esque red and this is it!

I bought mine from Tester Korea for 4000 Won (~$3.78 USD)

Vampire red is more of a purple/maroon red

Pros:

  • Price
  • Staining power
  • Layering ability

Cons:

  • Application can be uneven

 Review:
This is one of the lip tints Etude House does right, and for such a low price it's definitely worth a try. The tint has a water-jelly feel to it and an angled sponge applicator. The tube is pretty generous for the price and it's cute in general. I was happy to find that all 3 colors showed up as the swatches show. Vampire red is definitely my favorite of the 3 because it's so dark. Maroon lips are in right now! You can layer this color but sometimes I have trouble with it applying unevenly because you can layer it. It's best to try and get your color in with one swipe or you may have some blotchiness. It's pretty easy to stay within your lip lines with this applicator and because the formula isn't runny, but when you start layering it on heavily you have to be careful with the border of your lips. You can kinda see what I mean in the heavy picture down below. This is a great tint for ulzzang/ombre lip tinting. It works well even over Etude House lipsticks if you want to try layering an orange lipstick with a red tint tint on the inner part of your lips. :) Have fun trying new looks out!

Rating: 4.5/5 would buy again if they make more colors!

Thanks for the awesome review. You think these are better then the Tony Moly lip tints?

    1. I would say that the Tony Moly Cat Chu Wink Tints last longer because they seem even more water based. These Etude ones are a little slippery, almost oily, but they still stain pretty well just not as well as Tony Moly. But, I think for the vampire red it is worth it to buy this one. The price is right :D

      Thanks for reading doll xxo

  4. Ah, Vampire red. I had the same issues with layering evenly, but I still love it.
