Whether you’re starting your day with a blow dry, taming your frizz with straightening irons, or adding a touch of glam with a curling wand, heat styling tools are an essential part of modern life. They produce consistently amazing results that can fill us with confidence at work, on a date, or during a night out with friends.
However, heat styling tools can also leave hair damaged, with frizz, dryness, and split ends often experienced by people who use them regularly. It’s important, therefore, to prepare the hair with a product that is specifically-designed to prevent damage caused by heat styling. That’s where heat protectant creams come in. Not only do they help to avoid the unwanted effects of too much heat, but they can also restore the vitality of hair that has become dry and damaged.
Today we’ll be looking at one of the most popular products on the market, Briogeo Rosarco Heat Protectant Crème. Keep reading to learn more!
What is Briogeo Rosarco Heat Protectant Crème?
This product is a light – almost weightless – finishing cream that is formulated with rosehip, argan, and coconut oils. These super moisturising ingredients help to keep your hair soft, whilst gently protecting from further effects of heat styling. It can handle temperatures of up to 425˚F, which is beyond the maximum output of most heated tools.
The ingredients in Briogeo Rosarco Heat Protectant Crème work to tame frizz, smooth the hair, and encourage shine. Hair feels healthier and easy to manage. This product is free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates, so you can be assured that it’s safe and nourishing. It’s also suitable for coloured hair.
Briogeo advise that this crème is best used in conjunction with other products in their range, however it can be integrated into your usual routine, either after you have rinsed out your conditioner, or applied a leave-in spray. It should be the final step before blow drying, straightening, or curling.
What did we like?
One of the key claims this product makes is that it feels weightless on the hair, and this is certainly something we agree with. Use sparingly and comb through to ensure that you do not add too much product.
Hair is noticeably smoother and shinier when using this product, and more manageable after heat styling. For hair that is already damaged by heat styling, there’s a significant improvement in its condition, and the protectant qualities certainly seem to work well.
What didn’t we like?
Some users have noted that the hair can feel weighed down when using this product. It could be that too much of the crème is used in one go, or steps prior to the crème cause a build-up of product in the hair. It’s advisable to use a little at a time, whichever products you are using.
On balance, would we recommend this product?
Definitely! This crème helps hair to feel strong, soft, and manageable, allowing us to continue using our heat styling tools without worrying too much about long-term damage.
