Hello people, I've got dry skin. My skin breaks out often, so I'm always looking for products with salicylic acid. When it comes to skincare, Neutrogena is among the best brands on the market. My experience with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Face Wash

This product comes in a transparent pump dispenser. Pump dispensers are quite comfortable to use, so I prefer them to flip top bottles. Also, it releases just enough quantity for every single push. Hence, I love it. Details of the product including a list of the ingredients used are on its backside.

The product is amber-colored, not too thick or thin, and it has a creamy gel texture. It has a fresh smell and foams up nicely with water. Most similar products contain less salicylic acid, but this product contains about 2% of it which is a fantastic quantity for acne-prone skins. However, this implies skin dryness. Hence, after washing my face with the poduct, I mostly use a nice non-comedogenic moisturizer.

Pros of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash

  • Not too costly
  • Prevents future breakouts
  • Dries off mild acne
  • Removes light makeup
  • Deeply cleanses the skin
  • Foams up well
  • Pump dispenser is convenient and simple to use

Cons of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash

  • They should make compact sizes for travelers
  • Doesn't treat permanent acne. Other treatments will be needed for this besides the face wash
  • If you do not moisturize after face wash, it may over-dry the skin.

Overall Verdict

Honestly, I think this face wash is a great product for acne prone skins. Whether you have combination or oily skin type, this product will prove fantastic. It really works well for my skin. It dries breakouts and prevents new breakouts. I’ve been using the product for about 4 months now and will sure buy it again. It works perfectly and doesn't burn a hole in your pocket, so it is absolutely worth it. Go check it out!
